Howdy! Today while washing the truck, I noticed that the weather stripping on the passenger side roof has come undone. I can pull it all the way off essentially, and the clip area in the front is kind of smooshed in so it won't clip anymore.

Anyone got a good idea as to how to secure it back? I'm thinking the warped clip area is why it isn't securing anymore, so I'd either have to get a new one or just glue the bastard down.

    Thanks for any tips!

    My suggestion...
A dab of clear silicon about every few inches or so on the loose part.

Can you use pliers to bend the clip a little so it will hold the strip in ?

Mine came loose a few days ago. I was driving along about 30 mph when I heard this whistling sound. At first I thought I might have a brake wear indicator screaming. But I saw something out of the corner of my eye that caught my attention. What was that? I thought.
I turned around and picked up the rubber strip. I have no idea what caused it to come loose. But it popped right back in.

Had my L side strip come loose early on in ownership. Brought it to the dealer's attention during one of those free maintenance services during the first year. Tech popped it back in place but it still seems less than fully secure. I check it when I wash the truck and when it seems not fully in place, pound it down with the heel of my hand. Bad design IMHO, but at least I brought it to Toyota's attention during warranty.

I ended up bending the clip a bit to hold it, we'll see how long that lasts.
