Silicone donut around the new hole?

My Husky weatherbeaters came with holes for the retention mechanism, at least for the driver's side. I have no complaints about them, they are doing the job. It is a truck with an ox-and-cart leaf suspension, not an Audi with burl walnut interior. No need to buy expensive mats.

Could put like a half inch hold in the mats where the clips are.. fit a grommet without an opening from the bottom side, seal with silicone.

Just ordered weathertech floor mats from a '17 taco for my '18 taco.

I am confused. Do the '17 taco passenger floor mats not have holes in them to lock in the floor mats?

anyone have a part # for the 2018 all weather Tacoma mats for the access cab MT? my truck came with "automatic transmission" stamped on the bottom front of the mat, and the dealer says that the computer says these mats are correct. they are not. when I press the clutch, my foot lifts the mat, because the corner of the mat covering the dead pedal is to big...any help? the dealership had me cut it down, until they sent the pictures to Toyota engineers. awaiting a call back, but cant find a part # fpr the correct mat.
    thanks

They don't make them yet. however, your drivers side is likely the same as the '17 with MT.

My truck is a DCSB, not sure if mat is the same but I thought I'd take a picture for you anyway in case it is helpful. I can't guarantee it is the correct mat because I have not verified that it doesn't interfere with clutch pedal, but that is the one they gave me for the driver's position with my 2018 DCSB sport manual transmission truck. There is nothing marked on the mat that indicates "manual" or "automatic," but I think that is what the "M" and "A" suffixes are about.IMG_1292.jpg

OK, got the answer. after the dealership taking about 20 pictures of my truck and the mats, then forwarding the pics to the engineers. The high tech answer is.....mislabeled mats....
they ordered 7 boxes from the warehouse, all were labeled for manual transmission on the box, but had automatic mats in the box. 7th box had the correct mats in it... the correct manual transmission mats have 5 ribs the width of the dead pedal, where the auto mats have 9.
I was told that they are looking into how many hundreds or thousands of boxes were effected...what a mess.
got my mats, they work great

Meh — I’m too much of a perfectionist for that. Will wait for 2018s and sell 2017s.

got the '17 weathertech floor mats for my '18. They fit fine. yes, the passenger side doesn't fit exactly but it isn't a big deal to me. I'll just keep them. I got them at a discount anyway.

Newbie just got my new taco yesterday. Must have one of those mislabeled mats. My clutch catches too. I’ll check with the sales dude tomorrow. Thanks!

I checked with WeatherTech. The 2018 front mats are coming out in roughly 10 weeks. I purchased mine this past weekend w/ a manual and it has the automatic mats.

The Dealer accidentally put Automatic Mats in my truck back when I bought it, I let them know and they got the correct Manual Mats a few days later.

So the 2018's have lock-tabs on the passenger side? If so, then damn it...damn it all to Hell! That's something I curse the Toyota engineers up and down about; "WTF did you not include them you idiots?!?" That and no grab-bar on the drivers side. And no oh-shit handles anywhere.
