I have a Raingler attic that I want to instal in my 2022 TRD Sport. It requires that you pull a portion of the weatherstripping from the front and back door frames in order to remove the plastic shroud around the B pillar in order to drill and screw in an attachment point. I'm reluctant to just pull the weatherstripping out of it's channel as it seems to be very well seated and I'm concerned that I'll never get it back properly. Is this a valid concern? Anyone with any experience they can share? I've done a bunch of searches and can't come up with anything.

No experience but I've read a bit. Its suggested that you use a sealant to prevent water form intruding through the screw holes. I have not seen anything about people not being able to get the weatherstripping back but I have read that it has to be cut at times.

I think you're referencing the weatherstripping in the roof channels when you install a roof rack or something...I've read the same posts about using sealant to plug the screw holes in that case. I'm talking about the rubber moulding/weatherstripping that seals the doors of the truck. In the Raingler install video they look like they just pop out and back in no problem. Mine are very well seated and I doubt I could get them back in properly.

ohhhh, yeah you can just pull that and then push it back into place. Just make sure you're putting the metal edge into the groove when you're pushing it back. I believe there's some sort of reinforcement clip system built into that, it is not held on by adhesive.
