As well, you are not the original purchaser of the mats, and do not have any sort of proof of purchase. Weathertech doesn't have to cover you for something bought second-hand. Things like this work great until greedy people start to abuse them (By no means am I calling the OP greedy, its the persons that try to abuse a warranty they aren't entitled to in the first place). They are willing to send out new hooks regardless, so I do applaud Weathertech for that.

Being in the auto industry as long as I have, I am never surprised when a company changes their game to cover their bottom line. Years back, Monroe (shocks) had a no-questions asked lifetime return policy. Call in, they ship out new, even if the part numbers weren't the same. Then the repair shops, parts places, and John Q. Public as well, started raiding junk yards looking for Monroe shocks to send in and milk the freebie. Monroe changed their game to require proof that the person owned the vehicle, and the rip-offs ended literally overnight. This is why the industry handles warranty and returns as they do.

I have WT mats with no retention hooks.... 3 years old and still fit like it was painted in.

I have the twist hooks on the mat to hold it from sliding, but no 'retention hooks' for the sides.... I never knew there was such a thing.

There isn't any side retention hooks. they are talking about the older hooks ( where your twist thingies are ) that keep the mat from sliding forward.

They are saying that the liners are sliding forward causing the edges to curl up.

Buy some Husky liners and be happy.

Im going on my 3rd set of Weather Techs in 3 different vehicles and have never had a problem. The ones in My Subaru were 8 years old and aside from some shiny spot wear right where my accelerator heal was always placed, they never curled or wore badly. Maybe like so many other things these days, they are cost cutting on manufacturing? I know this new set in my truck fits more loosely than any other I've owned?

i would not be surprised if they were defective because they started using cheaper materials to save money.
im going to try to heat them back into place and see if it helps nd if it dont i think i may just get me some huskys lol

ill try to get some pics to you, im terrible at remembering stuff like that but if i dont get them to you today ill get them to you tomorrow

I have the Husky X-act fit contour liners and in my opinion are way superior than WT. They're made of a rubberized plastic I think and are malleable, lay down perfect. Had them in two Tundra's and now my Tacoma. Highly recommend.

idk how to PM with the new site set up so ill just post them here

FYI they are a total bitch to put on. especially in 90 degree heat
other than that i love them. keeps the seats clean and a quick vacuum cleans them up nice

I wish they made them for the wife's Corolla, so I'll have to get weather techs.

3rd set here. Never had a problem with any of them. But here in Florida, it's like a heat gun daily, might help in laying the mats flat.
