Received my weathertech floor liners for 2012 access cab. The front mats fit perfect, but the rear liner was having some fitment issues over the middle section. It looks like it is pulling both the side parts toward the center.

So, would you consider the access cab to have second row storage (it looks like a center cup holder in the back)?
I have weathertech model number 440214 in the back (with second row storage). Has anyone tried model number 440212 in the back (without second row storage).

    Thanks for the help

I have the 440214 in the back of my 2009 AC. As far as I understand there were no changes made to the back of the AC in 2012.

When I installed mine they were a VERY tight fit but with a little bit of coercing they fit in and they have stayed in place very well. You might want to post a picture to help display the problem you are experiencing. There could be a problem with the rear mat but I haven't heard of that happening in terms of defective measurements.

The 440212 will not fit the AC with storage as the part that goes over the hump is wider and will not fit

Pulled off internet of non 2012 access cab with good fitment. I believe that it is a 2009 or 2010

Here is what I think a storage box looks like

This is the center storage (if thats what you want to call it) the 2012 access cab has. It is different.

I have spoken with Weathertech on this, as this will be the second time I have heard the issue on the 2012. As of this moment, Weathertech says that they test fitted the truck and the number 4x0214 is correct. They will follow up with their R&D team though to be sure.

if that's the correct mat you could try relaxing that area with a heat gun.

Funny how pictures get around. That's my truck and it's 2011. I got these a month after Weathertech made the change by adding the rear center storage an option.

To the OP. other than removing the lid to the center box, you can see that the '11 is sloped up from the floor, where it looks like the '12 is at a full 90°. I suggest you call Weathertech on this, as they may not know. You could get your money back for the mat, and if you're the first to report the bad fit issue, maybe a free mat when they get their shit sorted out.

Sorry, I pulled your picture, then forgot which of the millions of weathertech posts it came from. I am going to contact weathertech tonight about the issue.

    Hey OP...

I have a 2010 access cab with rear center storage box. Don't know what might have changed in 2011 or 12 .. but in 2010, the rear Weathertech wouldn't fit in the access cab without moditication. Fortunately it's very easy to do!

You have to remove the rear center storage box .. It's just 3 bolts! Then pull the box. Lay the Weathertech down in the rear. Then put the center storage box back in place. Mark the 3 screw holes on the mat with a Sharpie.

Then take the rear mat, and drill out those 3 holes. A drillbit bites right through. Now reinstall the mat in the rear, set the rear storage box back in place, make sure the box holes are lined up with the newly drilled mat holes, and reinstall the 3 bolts.

The mat now fits perfectly! True it's locked down .. but they're small mats. Just vacuum off, then spray down with some Simple Green (or other mild cleaner) and wipe.

Talked to weathertech. They acknowledged that they made a mistake with the 2012 access cabs. Supposedly mid 2012 the factory changed something and the complaints started coming in about a week ago. They are paying for shipping and giving a refund. They also are going to let me know when the fixed ones come in. Sounds like an honest mistake. Good service!

I haven't gotten mats yet for my 2010 Double Cab and what from what you guys are posting shows me great service. They are willing to pay for the shipping and send it back and give you a refund. That's just awesome! Now when you get a refund and the issues get fixed you get the right ones that fit.

    Props to Weather Tech.

ordered my weather techs about a month ago and just got my rear over the hump. it did not fit my 2012 with the rear console. just got word today expect 12 weeks before new ones come out, so really more like 18 weeks till i see one that fits. i had the option to return for free and a refund of keep the wrong one and wait for the new one. so the waiting game starts again.

I removed my rear console and did it on a friend's '12 too. The '12 is more of a 90 deg angle and so is the middle console, so that person was correct. I had to cut both my front (clutch pedal) and rear mats to get them to fit correctly in my '10. I was fine with it, but understand people not wanting to.

They say it fits then it should, but they messed up. If people can wait for correct ones then there is no issue here. If not grab a dremel and fix it in 2 minutes. Boy that console addition is useless and creates more issues storing things in the AC then it solved.
