I've always had wind deflectors on all of my trucks but they were all the stick on type. It appears that most are now the in rail type that has me concerned. I've read the reviews and their all good but I'm really concerned that the window will bind up because their inside the rail and my other concern is they will fall out because their just stuck into the rail. Am I worrying about nothing or not, convince me either way.

Just took my AVS in channel window deflectors off my 15' They stick with tape in the channel but at the same time start to scratch the top of the windows too. Mine became lose so I took them off and am going to get some stick on.

I know the weathertechs have the sticky tape on the rear but do the fronts or do they just slip in.

I've never had them on my vehicle, but installed some on my mother's van. Hate them! They squeak when you first roll down the window and when it's completely rolled up. Has caused me to re-tint her drivers and pass glass twice. That's right, the first Tim I assumed I had done something wrong, so I removed and had it re installed by a dealer. Same problem. I've heard some people say they never had an issue. I personally won't use them.

Should put a link bro when you recommend a certain product or purchase. Makes it easier than searching the whole site for something. I am interested in some replacements so could you post a link?

The ones I installed were AVS in channel.

I had weathertech in channel for 5 yrs on my 06. At the end the drivers side did rattle slightly in certain wind conditions. This was after 4 yrs. I didn't put any on my 13 for I had a tundra in between. I would get a less expensive slim line in channel I read about here EGR or AVS. I don't remember just haven't spent the money or really miss them I guess...

I also installed the EGR in channel ones. I'm very happy with them. They will not fall out. No tape.
Mine went on the fronts only. The rears may use tape.

I have AVS stick on kind on my 2002. 176K and still the original tape, no fading and look as good as new, unlike the Lund bug deflector. I know that they are all the same company now with similar product lines. I am looking for new ones for my 2015 and was going to stick with the AVS but get the in window ones as they look cleaner. Reading the threads it seems 50-50 as to whether they cause binding and scratching. My mind still isn't made up yet. The local truck accessories dealer recommended that I get the stick on. He makes a good point that the tolerances of the window channel were set for the windows.......but the in channel look so good.

I have weathertech. They are very tight. I dont have power windows and i really have to turn handle hard to get them all the way up. Not sure if this would be a problem with power windows. They dont use any tape. I like them alot better than the kind you tape on. Look much better.

I've had Weathertechs in my last two vehicles. Absolutely no issues at any point. They've been perfect.

Weathertech floor liners moded to hold OEM floor mats, weathertech vent visors, Toyota bed mat, LEER 100XL cap, hood gasket mod to stop whistling.
I put inchannel Weathertechs on my 06 and I transferred them to my '13 and now my '14. They never bound but the sticky tape does eventually fail, we used some 3M tape on them last time.

I did have one rear blow out along the highway once, Weathertech sent me a new set of rears at no charge. Weathertechs is a great company, tech support and warranty are fantastic. I own and have bought many of their products such as floor liners.

I've got the WT, they can be a bear to get in, instructions tell you to insert the wrong end first, but once in they seem perfectly awesome, I love them

If they just slip in it seems like they would flutter in the wind with the windows down, they do look better then the stick on though.

On the contrary I feel providing you the brand and retailer is more than enough information. I have no need to research and provide you a link for an item I own. Look them up yourself, you will appreciate them more having to do more than click a link.

In the spirit of not being a dick however.

I have used Weather Tech in my last six vehicles and my wife's last five. All in-channel, all great experiences, no fluttering, no fall outs.
