The dealership tried fitting Gen2 mats in my '16 Ltd this past weekend--- close, but no cigar.

Thanks for this. Was about to start a thread for 15's floor mats fitting in 16's, but here you are, answering questions kicking butt and taking names.

So to confirm, the rear mats of a 2005-2015 double cab will not fit either..?

I have a set of WT digital fit liners in my other vehicle and the second row edges are rolled up to the point I can clearly see a few inches of carpet by just opening the doors. This is the reason I'm giving Husky my business and just purchased a set of there mats which I hear are a little thicker and more durable. We shall see! Not to mention that WT Digital fit mats won't be available for some time. Here was my thought process that I posted in another thread:

"Just ordered the weatherbeaters tonight for a few reasons:

    1. X-act mats won't be available for some time and I was unable to preorder them since

    2. With winter already upon us I can't afford to have my family tracking in dirt, mud, snow, etc into my new truck

    3. Even though the rear mats aren't available at this time they will let you preorder them

    4. Representative stated they provide essentially the same protection but the x-act mats are a heavier duty rubber and will be approximately $20 more each

Hope this helps some of you to make a better decision."

I was going to purchase weathertechs also. I wound up ordering huskys instead since they are available now. As far as im concerned huskys floor mats are just as good as the weathertechs and if weathertech wants to make customers wait for what they need then they just lost my business. Bottom line for weathertech is if you snooze you loose.

I ordered a set of WT for a '16 dc yesterday. Front and rear $179 + $18 S/H. I hope they come soon as I like to keep the carpet mats mint.

I also had weather techs in a Camry for about 3 years. They held up so good when I traded in car I sold them for a hundo on Craigslist... Not sure why all the hate, they make a great product
