Weathertech Visors

Just got done installing the Visors, but I dont think the rubber is supposed to flex like this? Anyone else with the same issue?

 

It appears these are in channel. Does it only doing this when windows are closed?

 

Yes these are in-channel, held only by tension. This is the passenger front window. Yes when the window is closed

 

It’s probably the other side you’ve installed incorrectly, which is why the inside is being pulled out. So a picture of the outside may help

 

Its installed just the like other side. The driver door has a small rubber flex but not as bad as this one

 

Here it is installed, its sitting flush too perfectly. Just don't know why it's doing that

 

Maybe the visors weren’t high enough when installed, then when the window was wound up it pulled the rubber in/up. I’d pull them off, reset the rubber and try again making sure they are fully seated before putting up the window.

 

I ended up taking it off a 3rd time and putting it back on, it's slightly better but still flexing. All w e a t h er tech is telling me is to get it professionally installed at a shop, wow -___-

 

Return those weather techs. Buy avs ones

 

1/2 the weather tech products are worthless. But they seem to have a good return policy, I’d send them back.

 

AVS

 

Yep... return the Weather Tech and get AVS in channels. No problem with mine.

 

Dude I tried ... not one... but two fucking “in channel” AVS visors.... first one I received was scratched to shit. Second was less scratched but the adhesive would not work.

Maybe just bad luck. lol

 

I bought the avs ones and didn't even install, they were packaged on top of each other and scratched all to hell. Bought some for my wife's Accord and they were the same.

I sent both sets back. Figured i would get the weather tech but now I'm not so sure.

 

That's definitely bad luck. Been using them for years and never an issue.

Hey, sorry to hear your package had the AVS’s packaged “scratched”!

 

Maybe i wasn't clear enough. They were different packages. Inside the package the visors are just laying on top of one another. They had curly plastic chunks scratched up on them from shifting around.

 

Same.
Idk why they layer them like that.
