    going to be fun!
Vents should have no contact with tint as it's on the inside.

Have both the bug guard and the 4 window set, first thing we did to it. Only issue so far was the back door set, both seemed a bit loose after a coupe months, removed and added a dab of glue. Had this issue on the wife's '99 Beatle so I knew to keep an eye on them. My only worry is some jerk grabbing the bug guard and breaking it. I try to park where there is no walkway in front.

They have been on since April 2015, no fading so far, clean easily.

Do these do anything to prevent or reduce the wind noise at highway speeds?

Yes they do. Also I like being able to crack a window down an inch and no one can really see that it is open, nice for parking in really hot weather.

I've got the WeatherTech bug shield on my truck and love it. Low profile, well made, fits hood perfectly, and does a good jod. It's hard to see on my truck as the shield is dark and my truck is black.

I have the AVS rain guards and like those as well. WeatherTech did not have thiers out yet, thought I would change to theirs once they came out, but like the ones I have and won't switch now that I have had a chance to use them.

    secret stuff.
Correct. My take was that the Weathertechs made the track that the window travels up into so much tighter. The window itself was in turn pushed so hard on the tint side against the door frame seal that it started to to wrinkle and slide the tint. The tint had been flawless Llumar for 4 years until I put the vents in...

Weathertech came out with the vent visors for the 3rd gen about a week ago. I've had them on the truck for about the same time and so far no problems, no tint peeling and also you don't have to worry about double sided tape. It comes with clips to hold them in place. I think for the front and rear it was about 114 shipped from their website.

I don't smoke... so no need to "crack" the window on the road....
BUGS..!!.. No problem...maybe a stray rock sometimes... but ....do I need this..??

I have the AVS low profile vent visors and they are really nice! I highly recommend them!

Still like them? Any issues? Do they add noise on the highway?

So far they are holding up great. No water leaks, doesn't scratch easily and although I do notice highway noise, it's not enough for me to get rid of them. If you do decide to get them you need to make sure your weatherstrips are clean before the install.

I have the weathertech window guards, too. Mine is a 2017 SR Taco. The problem is with using the clips on my rear windows...they do not want to orient in the proper planar angle to remain BEHIND the guard; as shown in their instructions!

Do I need to use them on the 2017 Model? I am concerned because one of the original REAR guards DID DROP OUT a few weeks ago...and it had been installed (by original owner) WITHOUT THE 2 CLIPS PER REAR WINDOW!!!

I went AVS on the windows and they've held up well.

I had a WeatherTech bug guard, first one was warped bad, so they sent me a new one. That one was also warped where they stamp their logo on. Took it off once I noticed it was denting the plastic surrounding the grill and also rubbing the paint off the hood.
