    Well if we’re posting pictures...

Been loving my GFC but super excited to see a Drifter at ExpoEast. I love my build but it looks like so basic compared to some of those awesome GooseGear (or similar 80/20) builds I see on the Drifter thread. You guys are awesome.

    Drifter....ARRIVED!
The wedgies / wedge-falia's are definitely on the way. Our Seattle neighborhood is littered with VW vanagons, but the first GFC recently moved in three blocks away from us and we'll have our Drifter in winter. Feels like I've already seen fewer vanagons, but maybe that's just because I now only see adventure Tacoma's in my line of sight. Love the pics and look forward to seeing some AT Summit photos.

In other wedge news, I recently took delivery of my Snap Treehouse. Only spent one night in it so far but happy with my decision.

Awesome. I haven’t seen a video of the Drifter yet. My only observation compared to my GFC is it appears your fabric is ummmmm.... lighter and more “Flowy” if that makes any sense. More like “tent” material. My GFC fabric is stiff and not so easy to Karate Chop in for fold down. It’s made out of something more like boat canopy material very heavy vinyl coated something.

Not saying one is better just my observation from that video. The GFC defiantly comes up just as fast, but needs to be closed up with a bit more precision and patience. I will say the material in my GFC feels bullet proof.

Thanks for the video it’s a great looking camper. I really hope there’s one at ExpoEast... i know GFC, and Snap! Will be there.

    One thing I’ve noted:
The Treehouse uses a ladder on the driver side to access the sleeping platform. The ladder swings up and buckles to the platform to help hold the tent up when the top is down. It swivels on a pair of lugs and can be removed/replaced easily; it’s also used on the outside to access the top from the open tailgate.
With a ‘fridge in the normal location on the passenger side, the ladder is blocked from swinging up or down. A drawer set or similar buildout on the driver side would also interfere with the ladder, but as long as it is strong enough to stand on the ladder shouldn’t be needed for access anyway. Still need a clever way to hold the extra tent material up without the ladder; I’m thinking of a 2-part shelf bridging the gap between bed platform and the end of the camper structure. 001D3F3F-BDAD-4C6C-8FAE-C851EFD6AE16.jpg

Our material is 18oz vinyl coated polyester. It’s waterproof and heavy duty. It’s the same material used on heavy truck tarps and the deadman winch accessory.

We’ve been using it since our V1s and it’s a great choice for all weather conditions.

The GFC and Vagabond have very similar fabric from what I have been told by people familiar with both.

Hey! We'll be knocking on your door randomly one of these days. Would love a GFC tour. Near Greenmarket, right?
