I’ll be starting my upgrade on my stereo this coming weekend. Wish me luck!

New head unit with CarPlay, 10” sub, Hertz speakers all around, 5-channel Kenwood amp.

He won’t be using a t-harness because he’s replacing the radio

Work has been bizarrely busy so this is going to take me a lot longer than I had expected. I was able to get the Hertz speakers in this weekend and in the process I padded the hell out of my doors to stop any rattles. I also ran the power wire through the fire wall and into the back seat area. Now I just need to figure out a good ground location for my amp in the back. I don't want to run the ground all of the way to the point under the driver's seat because the line would be 6-7' long.

Sorry. I should have explained. That’s a coat hanger I used to fish the wire and highlight for y’all where it runs from both the engine bay and the footwell.

Well, I FINALLY got around to installing my stereo. Turns out when you work two full time jobs you don’t really have much free time .

But it’s in! And everything worked the very first time. Spent at least an hour tuning it and it sounds great. It’ll sound even better as I tinker with it over the next few weeks. 782846AA-1ACF-4B30-A6B8-5A1EAA4F6997.jpgB8915C41-8B10-44A6-BF3E-2154E472E303.jpgB8D1E31D-F22A-4EB8-82FC-C89F4E7C3F15.jpgDA25CFAC-6028-499F-BC42-3AB4CDDDF1AC.jpg4D5A0A96-C5F7-42A3-B770-BA765E00F15B.jpg
