Does anyone have a build that they use for driving fast on mountain trials and spend the weekends camping?

Could you clarify a little? What kind of “trials” (I assume you mean trails) are you wanting to drive fast on? Why do you want to go “fast”? In most off road situations driving fast is quite dangerous for you and especially other vehicles on the roads and trails. I can tell you from experience that there’s nothing quite like driving on an old logging road , going around a blind turn and suddenly there’s some guy going 60 mph coming from the opposite direction who either smashes into you or forces you off the road to avoid collision. Yep that’s a lot of fun.

I'm from Montana so we have public land that has it all: gravel trails that narrow, wide, rocky, bumping, we have options but mostly winding narrow roads. We have been riding fast for years now, you can go fast and still be safe, we take necessary actions to make sure no one gets hurt.

Awesome build. Ya everyone has different builds just trying to get ideas or inspirations. Mainly for trucks that can handle rough speeds but I can live off for a weekend or more.

Fridge takes care of the living out of the truck. On-board water systems just dont get used enough unless you weekend warrior it every weekend. Then on-board water is a nice thing.

I dont have a need for it currently.

For bombing down fire roads, and going fast in general. You need good suspension, and upgraded parts that hold it all on to the truck. Spindles and such.

Good luck with your build idea's. TW is the best place to get more of them than you can handle

Any good bed racks with side mounts that are lightweight?

Bombing down fire roads? Yikes. Can't tell you how many deer and bear and bicyclists I'd hit driving like that.

When you say spend the weekend camping, how far from civilization are we talking? Site camping, or sleeping in the truck on old fire/logging trails, or picking a compass direction and just following it (civilization be damned).

As far as fast is concerned: "Speed is just a question of money. How fast do you want to go?" and "Cheap, Fast, Reliable. Pick any two".

The places I go to mainly are designated off-road trails. Bikers never go on these trails. For animals, I actually haven't seen many animals near these roads they tend to stay away from the loud off-roaders.
