Dogs and guns, both great shots too! Hmmm...

Haven't had much time this week but tried a few things out without success, at least not post worthy. But learned a few more things once again.

ISO of 6400 and 1/800 or so. LOVE THIS TOWN!!!! I've got some super cool Willie pics if anyone is interested, I just can't free post them.

The Toller was supposed to be laying down with his eyes closed dreaming of tailfeathers. For an old man he just will not sit or lay still when I want him to though. 1.3 sec @ f/2.8.

Alright. I got three shots for shadows that I liked this week and narrowed it down to this one. There are a lot of layers of shadows going on here. This is my little brother (13 years apart ha). We are under the streetlight on the corner of my childhood home block. He is looking down into the puddle of the melting snow on the street corner.
-The first shadows are the ones created by the street light. You can see the outline of it silhouette his arms and we are visible because we are shadows in that light.
-The second shadows are those created by the light shining up onto his face. Harsh light creates solid shadows and contrast.
-The third shadow is that of my arm. You may not be able to tell but the dark strip of black that you see his face reflected in is the shadow of my arm. You couldn't see his face very well without the contrast of that shadow. It was interesting trying to line it all up haha
-And the fourth and final shadow that I know of is a metaphorical one. My parents aren't well off and work a lot and this boyo has been growing up in my shadow a lot since he was born. I'm more of a parent figure due to my role in his life and our age difference. He is my best friend and I am teaching him to be a man. He's my shadow in ways :) ha
Here's my baby brother: Brotherly Shadows

^^Fantastic work. Not just a good picture that happened, but something that had a lot of thought put into it.

Holy back story Chaz. Nice shot too!

Ben, nice added difficulty herding a cat into being a model. Is that a shadow onto backlit fabric or an entire backlit scene onto fabric in the foreground? Either way, cool effect.
