I'm thinking it may be better if the winner pm's Monte the new challenge and just posts it in the thread themselves. Then Monte can update the first post when he has a chance. That way someone on limited time frames won't lose a day of shooting if that's their only day to get out.

I still think offsetting it a week would be best. That way the winner has a week to pick a challenge and pm monte.

Offsetting a week doesn't complicate anything. It actually gives him more time.

I like being PMed first because sometimes its nice to chat about it.

This week is a good example as TJ have exchanged a few messages.

And like Ben said..i do have a real life too...sadly...:p I got called into work after orchestra rehersal sadly.

    Anyways...

    New challenge!

Fences!!!....very much open to interpretation here. So have fun with this. Can be very complex and metaphorical if you think about it. Any place, any time, any subject ;)

    Have fun shooting!

No doubt you'll come up with something good tho :) Really only one kind of fence in WY anyways, just lots of the same thing haha, might actually be hard.

I actually have more time on Monday than any other day of the school week. I hold onto the photo until Sunday unless I know I won't be able to get out again. No reason to submit Monday and find out I could have got a better shot Sunday afternoon. I was out all day and around tons of fences. Could have knocked this out already. Ill see plenty more over the week though.

I just feel like bitchin is all :D

That's where the challenge is, and why I've sat out a couple and ALMOST sat out others.

Like with the nighttime long exposure... "neon lights on a highway" was cliche in 1970. It can still be done in a new and interesting way (and was for both competitions), but the difficult thing is coming up with the new and interesting way to shoot what's been shot a brazillion times.
I almost did that for the low-level challenge, since you never see the "neon" above the camera... it's always eye level, or shot from an overpass or building, but I opted for the long exposure on the stream instead.

Haha if I can't think of something I probably won't go try and force it. I also won't submit something I don't like to look at :p. Soooo yeah. I did have shots for the shadow challenge, they just sucked.

Thanks! Haha, that post is two years old! But yes, I was thinking of that shot when I thought of this challenge.
