I thought I would share a little of how I got the shot, as its kind of funny. It was a slightly windy, but absolute clear day. I was out shooting the mountains, and the dogs, not getting anything worthy, then I saw this sage brush. I set the tripod up pretty low and kind of right in front of the bush. Got a couple shots of the sun coming through, but nothing great. So I thought I would make some dust. I would set the timer, and run up wind and start kicking up a bunch of dust. Then I realized where my camera was and where the dust was going... all over it.
So I scooted the camera back, zoomed in, hit the timer, kicked up up some dust and voila! My wife thinks there is something wrong with my brain. haha

 

Haha, of course there is. There's something "wrong" with all of our brains in here...it's called creativity. Makes for some awesome photography

 

If she didn't she wouldn't be a good woman

One of these days I'll figure out how to use my camera so I'm more than just a 16 seed.

 

Here's my submission for now. I'm hoping to get closer and get a few shots of the chain link fences with concertina wire on top before the deadline Sunday.

 

Nope...
One sub and only one sub. Once it's in it's in. That's one reason many don't post until Sunday even if they took it earlier in the week.

 

I guess I misinterpreted the rules on Page 1 then. I took one picture per person to mean one final submission and not submit a few and have one chosen from those.

 

Have to let Monte make the call on that, but IIRC it's been hinted at before and turned down.
But Monte is cool and will probably let you slide on this one.
It's not like we're competing for cash or a job or anything.

 

Ah this ain't the olympics. If the man read it wrong so be it ha now he knows. I'd say edit your post, delete the photo for now, and decide on Sunday which you want.

But it's up to Monte since he's running this ship.

 

Yea only one photo per person so can't submit another one.

That said. Ill give you the option of taking that photo down in your previous post and then playing some more today or tomorrow or what not to try and get more what your looking for. Then submit the one you finally pick.


I just don't want a ton of photos in here that aren't submissions. You can post extra photos and such in the main photo thread anytime you'd like. But I don't want a lot photos in here that aren't submissions.
