Also as this is usually the time most the guys that have won here and well..here.

I am going to start saving files locally and hosting them myself ONLY for the OP.

I will NEVER claim them as my own(unless it is mine ) and will NEVER use them as my own photos for any reason personal or professionally.

I just want to help perserve the OP

If you are NOT okay with me doing this is is YOUR responsibility to tell me not to and then i won't If you do NOT tell me. I will save it and host it via my own account on Flickr.

This is being added to the OP.


You have 1 week to respond, those that have already won, before i start saving photos.

 

This challenge will get the creative juices flowing for sure.

And I don't have a problem with you saving photos I have submitted. Just more reason for me to figure out a watermark

You give my wife too much credit expecting the shower door to be that clean

That was all in motion.

The camera won't sync with the flash faster than 1/250, so I wasn't able to get the effect that I wanted using the flash on the camera, or even the powersnoot off to the side.

I hung a black cloth behind the stream, set the lens to macro (depth of field is less than 1/2 inch at 3ft when wide open, refer to the earlier picture of my cat's face in the "Symmetry" week).

Then I held the flash at arm's length while holding the camera in position to get the nearest part of the stream in focus, then held down the "pre-flash" button on the SB800. This emits a series of rapid pulses... hit and miss if they sync with the lens with the shutter running that fast.
I probably took 30 shots and only two of them got the flash in the image and "froze" the water.. the other one only half of the image was illuminated (flash pulsed in the middle of the scan).

I tried to re-shoot with the lens stopped down a bit to pull more of the stream into focus, but I couldn't get it to sync again. Perhaps fresh batteries would have made a difference? Dunno.
