And I look forward to what you come up with. IMO from the few pictures I have seen you have a great eye for color and composition. Not fair with what you have to work with down there LOL. Yeah work has been terrible the last month, interfering with life way too much. The next 5 weeks isn't looking much better. Hope it is for you though!

Thanks for the kind words. This thread was one of the main reasons I bought another DSLR. All of the pictures were great and I thought it would be a good way to keep challenging myself and take pics of things I normally would not. So far that has proven true with the last 3 challenges. Going to my friends ranch tomorrow so I am sure I can get something in front of my lens to contribute to this weeks contest.

Oh hell no... that factory has been shut down and boarded up for 15 years thanks to a combination of age and an ovarian cyst.

No... I was referring to half of the genetic material needed for one ;)

Yeah I ended up trading my E-M1 and lenses for a 6D, 24-105mm and 28mm f1.8. What drove the decision was the lack of low light IQ, and that the Olympus was a bit too small in my hands. The 6D is a beast and performs as such!

Yea I would love to get that setup and sell my 60d. Full frame has to be fun. And yes much better low light.

At first I was like WOAH!

But I misread it because of the bourbon and didn't see the "and"... read it as "trading my E-M1 lenses"

But ya... I know there's $20k lenses out there.

Yeah, ended up trading the body, 12-40mm pro, and Leica 25mm f1.4 for the 6D, 24-105mm, and 28mm. Pretty even trade really. I need a telephoto for surfing photos, and was thinking about the 200mm f2.8 prime.

Took several pictures yesterday at my friends ranch. Mostly flowers and some bees but for some reason as soon as I saw this one I knew it was the one.

Nice guys! I was thinking cow too since they're everywhere out here. The antelope babies haven't started dropping yet :( I was hoping to get one of them, they're so cute and you can get real close. It's snowing right now so not sure how im gonna get a shot today haha.

Put on a coat and get out there. I think a pic with some calves in the snow would be really cool.

x2, that is a great shot!

You didn't put the snowshoes away already did you?! I figure 3 more weeks before I drain and summerize the snowblower LOL. Yeah that would be a great shot if you could pull it off.

Took a drive yesterday to where it is a bit milder and found some pussy willows in the river bottom. Catkins were just starting to pop. 4 Bald Eagles behind me and a hawk flying around so didn't want to change my lens. 300mm f/4 with 1.4x tc which brings it to 420mm F/5.6. Which is what I used for the shot at almost minimum focusing distance.
