    7 years ago I was diagnosed with Graves Disease (Hyperactive Thyroid) within 6 mos I was also diagnosed with Thyroid Eye Disease. Slowly the disease pushed my eyes forward and caused the muscles in my eyes to twist. This resulted is severe double vision that completely changed my life. Ultimately I became left eye dominant as my brain chose to ignore the twisted image in my right eye. After months of steroid treatments, 8 infusions of a miracle drug at $176,000 a pop, and 2 double eye surgeries, as of this week I can finally see single vision for the first time in 7 years. I’ve learned to find strength in serving people so that they would know that even in their darkest days they can find the strength to just keep moving forward…one step at a time. For that…I’m Grateful
