Weekly Photography Challenge Thread (see first post rules and then the poll at top before entering)

I’m trying to migrate over to RF, despite having built a decent EF lens collection. The new cameras just work better with RF, especially with AF response, tracking, and low light performance.

Then my daughter had to throw a monkey wrench and lent me her professional alpha series Sony that she uses for her husband‘s business and holy shit.

 

68w combat medic! Pretty stoked! AIT and in my hometown of San Antonio Texas than off to fort Carson for 4 years!

Carson is beautiful, but it’s a tough place to be a grunt. We did some joint CAX there when I was in the USMC. Helo in. Hump out. Lots of climbing, and a bunch of guys got cryptosporidium from the nasty conditions in their tent city. Then Marines were barred from the e-club for behavioral issues. lol!

I like to decorate for the holiday. Giant ornaments on the oak out front, lights on the front porch, lights and ornaments on the new outdoor structure out back. But some of the more meaningful decor includes the ornaments my college roommates and I exchange each year. We've managed to stay in touch for a good long while now across many miles and several states. This year I received my favorite one, as a marylander. A crab in a trap, something our state is well known for.

Also it's snowing and the ravens are winning at the moment. Feels quite magical.
