This is a Quote of the PM I sent him, and the new challenge.

Challenge is "Fall". If y'all can't find a leaf then get outta here. haha

And you can always shoot straight with me, man. I like people who are real and straight forward. And I agree. I had high aspirations but realize that a challenge that's too difficult won't get a lot of takers. My bad

    New Challenge

Using the Fall/Autumn theme to show dying. Something to do with nature anyways.

Should be simple to make happen!

Also if anyone would like, feel free to participate in last weeks challenge as well. However, only the winner of this weeks will get to pick the next challenge.

It doesn't have to be leaves changing. Think about some traditions in the fall, food, or really anything Fall

Often restrictions bring about the best creativity! Now you don't have the opportunity to be cliché. Sounds like an advantage to me :D haha

Just got back from New Hampshire and Boston. Beautiful trees over there! Some of them were just insanely bright red.
I almost coulda gotten the first challenge (multiple interacting elements) when I was on a bus passing by a mattress store called "sleepy" or something like that with a lady asleep in the foreground on the bus.
Halloweeeeen decorations were out, too, and I really liked the look of them in the fallen dead leaves. Two fall things for the price of one! :p

No way I can compete with the NE foliage, etc. In fact no way I can compete at all. I suck and you all know what you're doing.

    But it's fun anyway.

Just took this outside in my back yard. My green ash turning against the typical Colorado blue bird sky. Point and shoot with my iphone. No editing.

No entry for me this week. Been super busy getting my man cave and bar finished. 3000 trim nails later my hands and fingers are sore as can be.

Most leaves here are down now, spent the last few days blowing the yard and trying to get the house ready for winter. This would have been nice a few weeks ago when I was on the North Shore, took a lot of leaf pictures while grouse hunting. Leave on Saturday for half the month of November pheasant hunting in SD, when I get back everything will likely be frozen including the leaves to the grass in the yard.

Took part of the day today to run to the river and check what birds were moving down the Mississippi flyway. Almost 60 degrees for a high which is too warm for me to hunt the dog. Birds on the river were a bust too. Did find a few leaves still attached here and there down by the water though.

Here's my entry. Took this with the iPhone since I didn't want to lug my camera up to the top of mailbox peak while it was all socked in with fog and rain. This is pretty typical northwest late fall hiking weather. Cheers!

Really like the pictures this week! There are always some amazing pics in this thread :)

Yes you do, Aberdeen is the major leg of the Golden Pheasant Triangle. After getting up at O'Dark thirty I will be driving through Aberdeen Saturday late in the morning and coming back the 15th, sore and tired but with a smile on my face. There is a handful of us that are retired military and rent a house each year in Eureka, SD in the pothole region up by ND. Come from all over the country including Hawaii and a friend from Spearfish organizes it each year for us. After 12 years they sold the house this summer so this is our last year in that house. It is pretty much a do not miss event for me and always look forward to it. We do have access to some private land just outside of Aberdeen that we get down to and hunt a few times.
