Weekly Photography Challenge Thread (see first post rules and then the poll at top before entering)

That's white light that's lighting up the whitewater course in the river. There were so many different temps of light I didn't know where the hell to set the white balance.

 

New Challenge: Churches

Show me what you've got. Try for something unique. Inside or outside, day or night, doesn't matter. Get that shot that says wow.

I wish I was back in Lincoln. I broke into an old Catholic Church in the middle of the night to get some architectural shots for an assignment and that place was nice. Haha

 

Tons of churches here in Ecuador! Got some ideas brewing...

 

Going to hell for that one. lol

 

May try this one.. There is a Russian Orthodox Church local here and I have some driving to do tomorrow.

 

LOL beat me to it that was my first thought. Got to admit the Catholic have some great looking churches. My oldest son is getting married this weekend in the cities and it is in a U of Mn. building, not a church so don't think I can play again. Been waiting for something like this for awhile too over in La Crosse, Wi. is a fantastic church and grounds that I've been waiting for an architecture type of challenge http://www.guadalupeshrine.org/multimedia/photos Just don't have time this week, next week I will be spending most of it in Oshkosh, Wi. at the Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever National Specialty. Hoping the puppy can learn to stop trying to kill an already dead duck or pheasant on the retrieve back from the gunner by then, priorities as it is almost hunting season.

 

Grabbed a church shot quick on my drive. Not the best, but it was a cool place. If I don't have it posted by the deadline remind me haha

Beautiful church here in Riobamba, Ecuador. Great views from the park just above it and you can see the extinct volcanic formation, "El Altar" to the right of the church and there's an active, smoking volcano hidden behind clouds and ash to the left. We could only look through a glass barrier because the inner doors were locked, but the inside was absolutely gorgeous!

Had a crazy week and when I forgot my camera at home before heading to a friends ranch I didn't expect to have an entry. Spent today at the Rangers game and grabbed this picture on the way back to the truck. Not a typical church but a lot of people would call this Jerry's Church on Sunday during football season.

 

Uploaded the shot to LR last night. 'Twas garbage. Haha you win

 

Took a picture but sd card went bad :-/ sorry guys!

X2, no problems at all to date and is what we use on cameras in most of the Emergency Rooms, Clinics etc.

Going to be in Wi. most of the week so will not be able to do any outrageous PP. But there must be something outrageous there to take a picture of in my spare time
