Yep I did mention to Murph that phones are primes too, good call. I am leaning more and more to Primes. Just ordered one of the Pentax Film Era Princesses, the FA 43. Was planning on getting new leaf packs but with the low prices right now on lenses I just couldn't help myself....

Ha wait until you get my age and need reading glasses of 2.00+ or higher just to see anything in detail within 5 feet of you! Although in the 70's all we had was manual focus and it didn't seem to bother me at all :anonymous:

Nice. I've always though legacy glass in a modern body would be nice to own (were I rich and so inclined).

Sony A7s II and a few Leica primes would be wonderful :)

...You said if we had to zoom, to move closer with our feet...

FYI. It was effing hot. Just for the record, is this what you had in mind? My camera knowledge is fuzzy any more. [IMG]

We're doing a kitchen remodel and the wall that my sister and I marked our growth on is going to be painted over soon so I took some photos to preserve it in case our plan to re-draw the marks doesn't work out. A bit of back story, the "T-Rex" mark was the highest that my sister could jump and reach when she was really young and it was the highest mark on the wall for a little while. Her last mark is the once in focus and my last mark is the top. We're both now taller than T-Rex! :D

I took the photo with my 28-135 lens and left it at 28, as per the challenge rules!

All the entries are great, as usual. That never makes picking just one easy and I am not good at critiquing like many others on here.

Liz @TinyTech626 yes that is what I was looking for and I am picking your picture as the winner this week. Pick a lens or setting on a zoom and doing the best you can with it finding out strengths and weaknesses at that setting. Hope you had at least flash gear to get that close! I've fought a number of fires in my day and everytime I look at yours I immediately want to attack it, well done!

I'll throw this one in done with Live Picture mode on my iPhone 6s. To bad tapatalk hasn't figured out how to share these in there original form yet. FYI, Live Picture is a 4 second video with sound.

Was doing a deep cleaning of the bathroom this morning and as I had my head in the toilet scrubbing this from 2 years ago popped into my head...

9 degrees out but above zero, almost tried it :D

2 weeks ago picked up the Pentax film era FA 43 Limited. Someone on here awhile back critiqued one of my shots and mentioned washed out sky, and he was right. Wish I was better at critiquing I learn a lot from them. Been using a CPL around water\haze since then and when I bought my Limited also picked up the B+W XS-Pro HTC Kaesemann Circular Polarizer with Multi-Resistant Nano Coating. And because of this challenge the Hoya Neutral Density ND-400 X, 9 Stop Multi-Coated Glass Filter. I hate Amazon Prime, and love it at the same time. Figured it was about time for me to try and play with a ND filter. Couldn't bring myself to use either on a shitter though LOL.

    Bump as a reminder.
