Took this photo yesterday. Out having some mountain biking fun in Peshastin, WA. Notice the bark texture of the pine trees. Does this count? Hopefully. I'll let TW decide.

I love that really old, rustic wooden texture. Looks very...splintery I think if you had gotten the head of the nail just a tiny bit more in focus, or gotten a bit lower and made the nail completely out of focus it would be a bit stronger.

@davidpick :

This is awesome. I love how the sun is poking out from behind that tree and the biker in mid-air is badass. Only thing I would have done would have been maybe turn down the highlights and/or whites in LR (if you use it) to give the ground a bit more texture.




I'm a sucker for macros and closeups of oddball things you wouldn't notice in daily life. So, I'm gonna give it to Greg. The texture of the wood is just very interesting and draws my eye to it.

I was expecting you to post something. This was the only real subject available this week. I try to have my camera with me as much as possible as I never know what I will see. Fortunately the time of day and light worked out well.
