Thanks for the guys who entered the two photos and making it very difficult to decide between the two. I honestly thought I would pick something that I thought people would have fun with and it was a little unclear at the beginning as I didn't fully understand how the suggestion process worked lol. With that being said, let me get into my thoughts quickly.

    Official entries:

I like the fact that it was turned black and white and it looks like it was a really cloudy day. The black really sets off against the clouds and it looks like for the most part the bird is in focus and frozen in flight. The ends of the wing (fast moving section) seems to be out of focus but the timing is great. Good photo in general. I am assuming on this darker day that it was difficult to get the shutter speed up.

    JoeTacoma02 (Joe):

I like the silhouette of the bird and having the clouds and the blue sky make for an interesting backdrop. I cant seem to make out any features of the bird itself minus the wings but everything is in really good focus and seems to be frozen. thank you for your entry

I am hoping people didn't miss out on entering or taking photos of other things other then birds because of the flight thing. I tried to show a couple examples where things were frozen mid "flight". I honestly thought this would be a fun venture for people to try and stage something with friends, family or just randomly catch people doing things they are already doing.

With everything said I think I am going to go with Wildlands photo. I like the idea you can see more of the details of the bird.

    Thanks for playing guys

I had hoped to play but work tied me up and I didn't bring my normal camera with me this time. Maybe this week or next.

Yeah it was a super busy week and was thinking I wasn't going to be able to enter. However we went whale watching on vacation and saw lots of sea birds. This one was the best photo I got of them.

I had something for this week's challenge and ran out of time to do it. Dammit! Vacation starts tomorrow morning and no way I'll possibly have time to pull this one off. FML :annoyed:

Great photo and great scenery! The photo is a little right heavy with the cloud and the bottle and the emptyness on the left but shows great scenery because of it! Love beer and nature, however looks like all the beer is gone!

Cute photo! Love the way she is looking at the camera and how she is holding the Dr. Pepper. Nice and cold too as you can see on the can. Great portrait

Love the color and sharpness of the photo! The beautiful green trees, blue sky, rocks, and brown tracks really goes well together. Again nature and beer! Great subject matter.

This is tough! I am going to have to go with @Don5352 though! Love the subject matter and I can picture my self in the forest by the railroad drinking a beer. Great pics all around though!

Congrats @Don5352. I'm on vacation so just post this weeks challenge in the thread here. We can go back to regular next week. I don't know what time I'll be able to get on to post it.

Thanks @JoeTacoma02 for doing the official entries again for me.

Back to the Head Mouse in Florida for me. :D

Thanks, guys. And gals. I actually liked mountainmonkeys shot better. But, I had fun with mine. The tracks run along the Upper Sacramento River. I was there fishing. A train did come buy and I thought that might be a nice add to the photo, but personal safety won out.
