I think it would be cool if the number of submissions were posted by each winning phone in post #1.

Should be an interesting round this week.

I may be wrong but I think he meant "number of submissions" as in this one was picked out of 24 possible submission, so you know how many it was up against. But I may be wrong.

IF that is the case, you can look under each photo and see the link to the post for that weeks submissions so you can see every photo that was submitted for that particular challenge (nice touch, Monte. I hadn't noticed that before).

I like your system of linking the other submissions for those interested. It's not like this is some highly esteemed world wide photography competition haha

Hmmm...I wonder if driving for 9 hours this friday will provide any good photo opportunities of people driving...
Should we be worried about invasion of privacy/consent of photography issues?!?!

I wouldn't think so..unless someone asks you. I've had people at gyms ask me to not post them.

And maybe the event or situation you shoot..

True...yeah the more I think about the driving thing the less appealing it sounds.

Fair enough. Maybe I'll explain and ask after I take a picture if I do individual people or small groups or something.

    ^^ EXCELLENT!! ^^
This was one of two challenges I was planning on issuing, so well done Chaz!
I've been researching/reading about Street Photography for the last week and been itching to get out and try my hand at it but its been single digit temps here in CO with the wind chill so thats been keeping me indoors..
Now i have no excuse.. (and its supposed to start warming up today)
..just wish I had a wide angle lens, gonna have to use my telephoto but we'll see what happens..

...each state has different laws; but for the most part, it's perfectly legal for you to be taking photos of Anyone in the public sector (no private property, no military property, no dressingrooms/bathrooms/medical facility, no nucelar facility...)
...as far as the ethics of street photography, there are not really written rules, however it's generally frowned upon to take photos of homeless people or someone who seems extremely down or on hard times.
...that being said, most confrontations can likely be defused by being courteous/respectful. If you're asked to delete a photo, it's usually best to ablige them, otherwise just avoid confrontation all together and keep moving along.

I hope that helps & I look forward to the thrill of this challenge as well as seeing everyone's submissions... this has quickly become one of my new favorite genres of photography to look at.. :)
