Weekly Photography Challenge Thread (see first post rules and then the poll at top before entering)

You missed an opportunity to use those fancy lights that you love... I'm disappointed.

 

No, I haven’t been able to think of a topic. Let me sleep on it.

 

Well it's supposed to be "holiday lights"
And I used my lights in a lot of pictures already so I figured people are sick of it

Nope. I used to use a string of colored lights often a couple of years ago.



Nothing wrong with your light string IMO.

 

I like your lights @Celery21, use them all you want.

I dropped the ball this week and realized it was past the deadline by time I got a chance to edit anything. Nothing really stood out to me anyway that I took. One to the next challenge, standby....

 

New challenge: Bokeh balls, try to get the most, roundest, biggest bokeh balls you can. Use string lights before you put them away, or anything else you can think of.

One entry per person and due this Sunday at midnight of your local time. Photo must be take from the time of this post. Go!

 

Had to google Bokeh Balls and was kinda scared to. But it looks like how i see everything after too much beer!

 

Every photographer worth his shit should know what a bokeh ball is. That's what makes you spend thousands on a lens.


Or the cheaper route and buy the 1.8 nifty fifty. Although that Nikon 50mm 1.2 is simply beautiful but it will cost you more than a D850.

 

Guess I've got a ways to go.

 

I recently upgraded from the 50 1.8 to the sigma 35 and it's freakin awesome. The 50 still does a good job though!

I'm debating on getting a new lens, or trying to find a package deal on a new camera with a new lens. I only have my 55-210 on my nex6 and my lg g5 has gone downhill since it took a shower.

I like using the nex6 for burst photos.


And the lg still works somewhat well


If i went with another camera, it'd be another mirrorless Sony.

Yea I had to Google Boken balls to. I never claimed to be a photographer, but I like taking photos. I didn't spend thousands on lenses. My camera came from Wal-Mart, and I paid $100 for it. The lens does poke out a little when I turn it on, but that's about it.

 

When i master the Iphone camera i "might" upgrade to real one!

 

My next one is the Nikon 14-24 2.8

 

If someone will give you a bulk discount on two, I’ll go in!

 

Oh boy i need to find some bokeh balls.

And figure out how to take them.

 

Ok, i think i know how to bokeh.

Just realized half my batteries and both battery chargers seem to have been in my truck.
