    The settings this shot was F 3.5 ,, 1/5000 of a second ISO 100 No flash ,Tripod ,manual focus.
    This shot taken on the kitchen table and was back lite by low angle sunlight shining in . The window has clear 6 mm poly covering it which is great for softing the light .The glass was sitting on a pizza pan so I wouldn't make to big a mess ,but after a couple of shots I noticed the reflection in the water so I put more water in it .You are right it has to be fast.
    This was taken with a tripod so I could have it manual focused on the 1/2 way point through the glass
    and have it framed right. Then all I had to do was try to time it right with my wife patiently dropping the strawberry in. Often when something is back lite the subject is dark . I am brutal with a flash so in this case l used a mirror to reflect the light back to get some colour in the strawberry.
    If I was to shoot this again this is what I would do differently,fill the pan full of water so you wouldn't see it,you would just see the reflection ,move the pan to the edge of the table so it would disappear . Then I would set my ISO at 200 so I could still get 1/5000 of a second but get a little more depth of field with F5 or F5.6 .

    Taking the dogs out for a run, second best weekend activity (wife vetoed posting photos of best activity). This time of year weekend activities are limited. Too early to go fishing or camping. Too muddy to go shooting, and no hunting seasons open.
