    Went for a 10 mile run yesterday around the city of Seattle. Leaving to Alaska on Friday from here, so decided to stay a few days and see the place!

    Edit: Just picked up the 24-105 f4 L Series...and an f1.4 50mm. My wallet hurts so bad...Thanks for the people who told me to spend the extra for the L!

    Sunset Over a Creek
    I redid the photo I entered a couple weeks ago. I used a yellow gel over the flash this time so the color balance of the foreground would match the background.
    I will be going back in a couple weeks to get the sun centered over the creek.

    Yes that's the lens I am referring to. The IS helps with the con of only going down to f4, bumping the ISO helps too. I love the clarity of this lens over any of the similar non-L series glass. The only downside with the lens is that it is a little heavier, but that's due to the all metal construction, bigger glass, IS motors, and weather resistant design.

    Ah, just saw this post. Good move purchasing the 24-105L and the 50 f1.4. I also have the 50 f1.4 and it is the perfect middle ground between the cheap f1.8 nifty fifty and the L series f1.2 lens.

    Looks much better. I’d suggest tightening up your crop a bit to help highlight your subject.

    I’m still reconsidering switching it out for the $119 28-135mm....I think this L series is a little overkill, and I want new truck parts lol.

    I got 10 hours to decide if I want to return it or not.

    The 28-135 will definitely be enough for me.

    If you don't mind me asking, how much was the 24-105? I totally understand buying what you need and not spending more on a lens, I wish I had that self control :). My gear sits in my camera bag way more than I wish it did. Every purchase I make is a trade off for not being able to buy something else I want, just need to figure out where in the priority list it falls.
