I was up in the Bighorn Mountains twice this week, and all I got is a rabbit in the neighbors yard. At least I have an entry. I missed out the last two weeks.

This is all I could manage with my iPhone. You’ll have to treat it as an “I-spy” for the wildlife :notsure:

    They grow up so fast....

Been 4 years since I've messed around with Hummingbirds so decided to do that instead of going to the River. And smoke some ribs while I was at it. Well the ribs turned out well.

Forgot how much work it was and not happy with what I got. Didn't have a lot of cooperation from the hummers either, but that is why they are called wildlife LOL. Manual focus, manual settings and manual flash. Best could come up with but next time will do better, much better.

Hummingbirds are cool.. Other when they buzz by at 100mph almost taking out eyeballs, or sneak up and get right next to your ear. I was lying in the hammock reading the other morning when one came up under the rain fly to check in and see how i was doing.

I wish I had more humming birds around my house, they're an amazing animal. Had a unique encounter with one a year or so ago...

    A48ABF95-8B6D-49B3-9DE6-E2C4BC02E794.jpg

He'd flown into the glass at discount tire and was laying on the ground dazed. I picked him up and dabbed a bit of water on his beak. He drank it and stayed with me for about 15 minutes. When he took off, he flew all the way around me and hovered in front of me for a moment before flying away. I'll never forget that.

I didn't see very much wildlife this week. I did see a good looking doe but I couldn't get a shot I liked.

So I heard there was a rabbit on here, someone looking.........:)
Couldn't find much with little time, shot this guy from a distance up in LaConner, Wa. on one of the river banks, earlier he was walking around in the water on the other side.
Took flight and I tried to get him in focus while panning, not easy!!
