I CAN do it manually. But I normally only use manual for long exposures. Now that’s not to say I use auto. I use either shutter or aperture priority depending on what I’m shooting. Mainly aperture priority. Especially when you’re taking photos every few seconds, like at a wedding, for example, I don’t have time to play with full manual settings.

Shoot an old film camera with a manual aperture ring on the lens and a knob with different shutter speeds with no built in light meter then you can come talk about shooting manually and shutting traps :p:p

In other news, yesterday I did something.

de-badged, tint front windows, led interior lights, door sill protectors, led b/up lights, 5" factory step rails, yellow turn signal bulbs, added 4 D ring tie downs. Took off the black vinyl stripes between the doors. Changed the grill - from Custom Car Grills, Finally got a tonneau cover put on. 31" light bar ( white & amber ), tailgate light bar, sunvisor covers ( to hide warning labels ), new bedside decals - still too cold to put them on tho. Flag decals to go on too, again too cold still. Got a 2 switch, switch plate to replace that useless cubby hole to the left of the steering wheel.. still to be installed ( hopefully this weekend ). Upgraded the tires to G/Y Duratracs... loving them, no plowing the driveway !!

Sorry, my comment wasn’t directed at you. It was a general complaint about braggarts who actually don’t know the basics or how to work manual settings.

I feel you, I was messing around haha. I do agree that everyone should learn how to properly use manual setting just in case. It’s really not hard after messing around for a couple hours. That being said there is a time and place for it. However, the fact the prosumer cameras still have an auto and a program function set boggles my mind.

I’m just finally learning how to “master” shooting in manual. That understanding exposure book in the Amazon links made me almost an instantly better photographer after reading just a little of it. I still obviously have a lot to learn, but I won’t ever shoot in auto again.
