Since I spend the majority of my time at work and directly out the back doors is the airfield, I consider it my back yard. This is an incredibly rare airplane. In fact, of the 9000+ built, there are only 7 or so left on this planet. It's a 50's Beech Super 18 with a turbo prop STC. This one was originally manufactured in '57 and has been reborn as a Super Turbo 18.

    Enjoy my shitty iPhone pic!

I saw that one fly a couple years back. Pretty awesome sight and unforgettable sound.

Edit: They were offering rides, which I would have loved, but not at $300 for a lap around the pattern.

Put a cape on this thing :jellydance: because I am super jelly...

Did you get up close to the A-10's? They weren't there when I went in '16. But I did see my all time favorite airplane - The PBY Catalina. I'd build the back end of it into living quarters like an RV with the beds under the blister windows, fly it to the Caribbean and live on the water.

Well, I broke my lens and need something new. Any recommendations for Canon lenses to cover the 18-100 range?

Ah, that sucks. Maybe check the refurbished Canon website to see what they have available?

    Sorry to hear that.
    How bad? What happened?

    I’m starting to look at the 24-70 f 2.8L. I have the 70-200 2.8 already, and the 24-105 is an f/4 I believe.

Doh! I remember when I was at Delicate Arch for a sunrise or sunset, which the viewing area around it is shaped like a bowl. There was someone who was swapping out lenses and dropped one... It rolled and bounced is way all the way to the bottom while everyone listened and gave a collective aww. :D

Cutting the backyard today. Technically this includes my neighbor's yard too, can you tell where the property line is? My trusty cub gets the job done every time except that I had to take the walk of shame to get the gas can because I ran out mid cut.

Thanks! I tried to channel good automotive photography tips too. Low angle, turn the front wheels towards the camera.

Growing up we had a Cub lawn tractor from the 1970s that my grandfather had restored. I kind of wish I still had that bad boy today.
