If you ever get a chance to check out Zach Arias OneLight Workshop video I highly recommend it. Even better if you're near Atlanta and can go to one of his workshops. A friend of mine went and said he'd go again with me if I wanted to go.

I ended up going with Radio Poppers. Been very satisfied with them and never had a single issue out of them. Plus they're cheaper than Pocket Wizards when they're on sale.

Interesting. I like that house. :p

And looks much better than the headlamp i usually use to highlight things. Although i haven't tried to merge photos together before in Photoshop so i have a long way to go.

dslr's has that option to "stack" as well, it wont be as on point as photoshop but for a steady subject it works.

Of course not. You know I'm not a cool kid. Plus, my post count is probably not high enough for consideration.

Good thing christmas is right around the corner. I'm putting a lot of photography stuff on the list this year haha. I'm sure I'll end up buying most of it myself though

Spent like 30 minutes trying to get a decent shot. Not easy doin this by myself. Shitty Nikon app doesn’t let you adjust the shutter speed or aperture while in the app so I couldn’t use that to see myself in position. Got the remote out and took about 30 shots adjusting the focus, aperture and shutter speed to finally get a pic I can mostly live with.

Single point AF and aperture priority maybe?

I changed my AF to the AE lock and I guess when I did that, the remote wouldn’t AF for me and I forgot how to change the setting back. I ended up holding the remote about where I was standing and focused manually on that, then walked in front and took a pic. Your method probably would have been better with aperture priority though. Didn’t think of it at the time. Oh well. Now to figure out how to change AF back to shutter button for remote pics

d7200. I just need to find the video i watched that showed how to do it. It's a simple setting change, but I just didn't remember what it was at the time.

Probably in the shooting menu on that one.

I don’t recall having a setting for that on d7000 other than the button on the back you held for it. AF/AE lock one.

It's under custom settings. I found the video I used the first time. https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=8&v=gc_SM_H22lg

Easy to change. I just need to remember how to do that for the future for when I need to use the remote

I don't use lens caps on my 50mm or my 70-200 2.8, but use a daylight filter on them ALWAYS. I will take it off and use a Singh-Ray Variable neutral density filter for longer daytime exposures or to get a shallower depth of field (think panning and racecars).
