If you want old fashioned telemetry, (simple beep with directional antenna) these guys make great equipment. http://www.marshallradio.com
They have GPS that works great, but only currently for falcons. Word has it they are developing a GPS dog collar that works on the same receiving system, but it's still in development.

    What a post!

That’s a lot of good information, thank you. That is definitely a pricy unit but it stings less knowing the receiver is also a stand-alone GPS as well. Once the little pup gets a bit older and if we ever start doing more exploring I will definitely consider getting one of those.

They do cost a lot, we have 3 gps’s and 12 collars, worth every penny in My opinion.

If you wanna buy one check out Double U Hunting Supplies, great people.

Spent part of a beautiful day looking for animals, couldn't find a Mt Lion, was between Llamas or a horse :)

Well not a great turnout, but some good ones. Figured with the topic of animals there would be lots. I guess everyone just got busy.

My daughter said she had a good one she was going to enter. What happened @ShadowKat forgot it was Sunday? You don't even get a participation trophy this week. :smack:

Give me a bit to look them over, and I will announce a winner.
