    Sweet. Glad to hear. I can’t wait to get it! Will definitely be taking it down to the comp this weekend to get some shots and play with it. I think I’ll order the Amazon brand monopod as it’s only $15. I’m sure I will be fine with hand shooting but if I’m there for a while I’m not gonna want to hold it haha.

    It’s a stout lens, make sure whatever monopod you get is rigid and the compression locks for the section slides are burly.

    Hey Brian you got a tripod that will hold all that? Reason being if not then you could get one that has converts to a monopod also. 2 for 1.

    The tripod I posted a few pages back could hold it. It just goes back to portability again. I am NOT driving down to the pier during the surf comp. it would take me 30 mins to go literally 1.5 miles and then have to find parking that’s probably a mile away which puts me at almost the same distance as my house haha. I can throw the monopod and camera in a backpack and be fine, the Tripod is too big for that sadly ha. But, if I drive somewhere the tripod could work

    How much does a 600mm zoom? I only ask because I plan on getting a spotting scope that’s like 20-60x magnification from work and wanna pair it with a nova scope.

    Just wanna compare.

    But it will look like more on a crop frame because it’s only seeing the sweet spot of the lens in the center.
