Yeah, I'm in the process of changing over all the lights in the house to LED. You don't realize how many lights you have until you start changing out the entire house lol. I held off for the longest time when LED's first came out because I hated the hue that the lights put out and it was extremely hard to find LED's that were dimmable. Everything in our house is on a dimmer so we can control it with the iPhone or Amazon Echo. Now that you can get LED's in pretty much any form and they can be dimmed we are changing everything out. For every light that isn't recessed in our ceiling we are going with lights that are similar to the ones posted above. Recessed lighting will have to remain basically the same but at least they are the same hue as the original incandescent bulbs that we are replacing.

Yes exactly! Strangely enough, I am one of the last adopters of LED's. First, I HATE light. I know that sounds weird to say in the middle of a photography thread lol. But I can not stand to sit in a room with a lot of light. That's why everything we have is on a dimmer. I never turn on the recessed lights we have in the living room nor the lights on the ceiling fan (of which there are 8) but my daughter sure does. She might as well be trying to land aircraft in our house when she comes home. I leave the least amount of light on at all times at night. Hell... even our recessed kitchen lights are on a dimmer as are the bathrooms. Come to think of it... there isn't a light in the house that isn't on a dimmer. But LED technology has come so far in the last few years that we now have lights like the ones you posted and I love the look of those types of lights. I started off putting those types of light around the outside of the house because they are pleasing to look at.

So these are a few shots of tools that came from my Great Grandfather's / Grandfather's engine rebuilding shop. My Grandfather starting teaching me how to rebuild engines when I was 11 yrs old. The micrometers in the pictures are from the 30's - 40's and are still as accurate as the day they were new with the exception of the inside micrometer. I used these same micrometers back in the late 80's - early 90's when I was working at my Grandfathers shop when we would bore out cylinders. Also I'd like to point out the Cylinder Sleeve that was used to replace the cylinder came from a 33-41 Plymouth. I assume it was a six cylinder engine due to the size and stroke of the sleeve. I "personally" never worked on an engine that old. But, the cool thing about this sleeve... It has never been taken out of the box and still has the original packaging inside.

    NOT ENTRIES:

Telephone Bill from Jan. 26th 1949. The really cool thing about this bill is the address. It is now the parking lot of Central Fire Station where I was stationed for 5 years before being promoted to Driver. I thought about the old shop every time I pulled into the parking lot.

I wanted most of the focus on the Cylinder Sleeve and the Telephone Bill with the Micrometers in the background as props.
