The moment one makes it into the house I agree with this, for now they just die rubber mallet deaths in the garage!

Smack it off the dog, burn it (the spider). Shave dog and give immediate bath and then lots of treats.

Same concept. Just pick tick off since those little bastards can stick on em. Damn ticks are the worst. My pup had quite a few when we first brought him home

Seresto Collar. My dogs have all had Lyme by the time they were one. Then I discovered Seresto collars. Pick up a another pup, the son of my 6 year old Toller, on the 31st. Don't have to worry about ticks by that time of year.

Got back Wednesday from 2 weeks hunting birds on the North Shore of Lake Superior. Leave Sunday for 2 more weeks back up with the dog. 3-5" of snow forecast for Saturday night. But not many if any ticks there, too cold.

    Not an Entry:

If the wind isn't too bad might be able to get a reflection picture of Lake Gitche Gumee the worlds largest fresh water lake. Will be driving along it for more than 2 hours before I head North right before the border. The lake the cabin sits on isn't too bad either.

To the right which is actually South is the Boundary Waters Area Canoe Wilderness. Lots of water for reflections. But I expect I will be more concerned about getting the dog out running and killing birds.

Put Crisco or Vaseline on a tick. It prevents them from breathing and eventually, they'll pull their head out from the animal's skin. With all the guoup, they can't re-establish and are stuck. Then pull them off and watch them burn.
