    It's all completely edible! It might havre been brushed with a bit of extra oil to give it a little extra shine but otherwise, complete natural. Oh and the grill marks are applied with a Bar-B-Que lighter...the wand type that plugs in...the wand glows red and the food stylist will do each one separately before butting them on the cast iron. When the shot is set up, I darken the room, fire the strobes to get the main exposure and then go underneath with a lighter- the kind that has a trigger and a long barrel with the flame on the end. I essentially put the flames where I want while the lens is open on the camera. When I have what I think is enough flame, I close the lens. If it looks good, great- we're done. If it needs more, I do it again until I get what I want. Done for a national chain restaurant.

    I'd better go back and re-read the first page to see what the different entry/non-entry designations are. Sorry about that, I saw a thread pop up that said 'Photography' and and then 'food' and thought 'Ooh...I've got some of that! ;)'
