Noooooooo. The guy I was going to get that Tamron 150-600 isn't selling it now because Tamron is updating firmware to make the lens work on the Nikon Z6 so he's keeping it. So sad. Guess I'm going to ebay now to buy the newer version

I have that lens too and it cannot focus one my Canon 89D beyond 450. Tamron support won’t give me a price to upgrade the firmware, so I won’t send it in until I know the cost. Any idea how much that is?

Nope. I don't even have the lens. The guy I was buying from off Craigslist (was gonna get it this weekend) just emailed me earlier saying that he found out they are upgrading their firmware to allow that lens to work on the Z6 so he's keeping it. I don't have any mirrorless cameras, I'm just a crop-frame owning peasant.

Try a local camera repair shop? Most have firmware updates or calibration tools for lenses

Danger noodles are the bitey kind. Nope Ropes are the harmless ones.

Emailed a guy off craigslist for the Tamron 150-600 G2 version. Offered him 850 cash and to pick up tomorrow. We'll see what he says. May even buy it if I can get it for 900. Otherwise I am going to order a used one off ebay for about 900

He listed it at 950. 850 is still a good price. The cheapest used one on ebay is 850 + tax + shipping. I don't want to lowball the guy too bad and not get a response back.
