Weight capacity on door hinges before bending/damage can occur?

    Guilty here… it’s taken a while, but my recipe is the bee’s knees (for us at least). Saturday morning delight. Best way to finish off a skillet of eggs and sausage, and homemade bread.

    Back to the door! It’s all good unless she’s flat out hauling herself off the ground daily. I’m guess she’s putting less than 50lb worth of force on it.

    200 lbs one time won't hurt. But over time it will gradually cause problems. The thingy that prevents my drivers door from opening too wide and damaging the hinges finally broke after 17 years. I cut a 6" piece of nylon strap and screwed one end into my door and the other to the door frame a few weeks ago to replace it. Works like the ones on Jeep Wranglers.

    Diamonds (or other rocks) do not leave nail polish residue behind.

    Scope out cars in parking lots... I would not want to run into some people owners of the hands that leave those marks.
