Just got my registration in the mail from the dealership and it came with a weight class 2 sticker that says I'm supposed to put on my windshield by my inspection sticker. Just curious if anyone has had to do this because I havent seemed to notice it on any other trucks on the road.

Thank you. New question haha. It says class 2 is for 5001 lbs and up but the curb side weight of the 2018 tacoma TRD sport is like 4500 pounds. So why am I getting a class 2?

I believe it’s based on the GVWR, not the curb weight.

You can drop the weight class to save money if you never plan to exceed the first weight class. I've done that in the past since I never towed with the truck I had years ago. My last tacoma was weight class 2 and I just kept the sticker in the glove box with my registration. Just bought this one and have yet to receive the registration. If class 2 I'll leave the sticker off. I recently had the windshield in my work truck replaced and no longer have a weight class sticker, not sure if/how I go about a replacement.

I just reviewed my EZpass Transacations. For Example if I get on {I-95} Delaware Valley (old#358) and get off at Exit 343(willow grove) with my Car 2 Axle =3.00 with Tacoma 2 Axle=4.00 and Tacoma 3 Axle towing my 6ft by 12 trailer the price still shows only 4 dollars. Is it really worth not putting the ticket in you window and getting fined if pulled over? https://www.paturnpike.com/toll/tollmileage.aspx
The price is with the Class 2 weight sticker in the window.
