Buying a used set of General Grabber at2. I run radial mud claws load range E currently. I don't off road my truck so I don't need the m/ts. 265/70/R17, the grabbers, are 4 ply and the mud claws are 10ply. I can't find any information on the weight per tire on the claws. Does anyone know?

My previous experience is the tire has a pretty noticeable rolling resistance so I'm not wanting to lose any power with these. Any info will be great.

You're moving from a thick lugged, heavy mud terrain tire, to an all terrain tire that's a little more road friendly. I ran Grabber AT2s on my 03 before I upgraded to my DCSB. They were great tires.. they provided excellent traction, and wore fairly evenly as long as they were properly maintained (rotated, aligned, etc.). You should feel a little less resistance considering the MTs were thicker, E-rated tires, but you definitely won't lose power moving to an all terrain IMO.

I bought the grabber at 2 when they first came out for my 03 v6 taco and looking back I think they didn't offer a 4 ply p rated tire in that size(I didn't know any better so I bought the LT version.I found out later that the LT was heavier and the tire grip was really sticky and created some serious rolling resistance in turn causing me to not be able to run my cruze control on the hwy so I went with a bfg rugged trail (is now discontinued) instead.I now have added the 05 with the 4.0L and had a chance to buy the general at2 again so I was needing some advise on weather to do purchase.

I love the look and the ride, and I think that was what the previous owner was wanting to accomplish and not usability not that its really that bad with these mud claws but the 10 ply is so hard and the truck is light with a lift and leveling kit, I'm not sure what kind but it is a suspension lift, the truck seem to have very little flex it gets to spinning in my front yard at the drop of a hat and when it does it wants to dig to china.

Ok guys I'm now looking for tire to replace a bf Goodrich rugged trail tire now discontinued on my 2003 taco 4x4 v6 auto.I want to find the lightestestimate in a P rated tire like these but want a mud terrain or at the least an agressive a/t in a 265/70r16.I will consider a different size and even go with smaller or larger rim size as an option.my ideal tire would be like an old school maxxis buckshot mudder 4 ply .need some expertise feed back if this is possible or if I'm out of luck.be honest and tell me if I need to just forget it.
