I never weighed it, but it's quite heavy taking it out

I’m documenting my weighted configurations; I’ll let u know when I take them out. “Quite Heavy” leads me to believe this might be a more worthwhile mod. Thx man

FWIW, I took my sway bar off my 2000 Tacoma TRD and it weighed 14.75 lbs. I know this is a 2nd gen thread, but FYI. Also, I love how the truck rides now, but I have Bilstein 6112s in the front which keeps the handling in check.

Finally did the rear seat delete and measured it. 2022 double cab rear seat delete comes in at minus 70 lbs. IMO that is quite significant given the paltry payload for the 4x4 taco's.

I did. Optima red top 34r. Used a battery tray from non-tow package Tacoma and an aftermarket tie down. AZ heat kills batteries fast, regardless if they are big or small. The Optima weighed on my bathroom scale at 39.4 pounds. My old Duralast gold 27F weighed 48.8.

I weigh 140lbs, so theoretically I have an extra 30-40lbs than the average driver.

That being said, I get the best traction/fuel economy with about 200lbs in the back over the rear axle. Sometimes is more about weight transfer than weight reduction.

Remove side view mirrors. This should help with aerodynamics too.
