Weird beeping, won't start.

Hey tacoma folks – resurrecting this thread as I have the same beeping issue. I suspect the aftermarket alarm / immobilizer is acting up (I disconnected the battery this morning to clean the terminals). Anyone have recommendations on how I can troubleshoot this? I found the alarm is an Avital 3100 but not sure if the immobilizer is part of that or something separate...

 

Test your battery. Check your alternator and if you have an alarm check that too can sometimes just unplug it another thing to look at is related fuses.

 

Thanks! Yeah the battery / alternator works fine. I managed to take out the entire alarm brain box but guessing the immobilizer is separate? Its pretty hard to navigate all the wires and tight space under the wheel, I haven't been able to find anything that is obviously not a Toyota OEM part. As far as I know the 2004s didn't have a factory immobilizer installed?

 

Hi guys, same problem, can't upload a video. Probleme came out of nowhere, I was trying to start up my truck after a 1 1/2 years of and ran fine but stalled (fuel probleme) and after a couple of try, this electrical probleme came out. Starts beeping when key is out, fuel pump doesn't work, cranks but no sparks, when I'm turning on and of my lights, flashers or clutch start button, beeping fades a bit but it will never stop, chek engine light, battery light and airbag light flash with the same beat as the beeping that comming off the intergration relay.
I just ordered a intergration relay and will see if it change anyting.
