Weird bundle of wires near tailgate, is this normal.

Was taking a look under the bed of my recently acquired '17 TRD Off Road and noticed this messy bundle of wires on the rear driver's side. Is this normal or some P.O. shenanigans I need to sort out? FWIW the rest of the truck seems fairly unmolested.

do you have lights in the rear corners of your bed? that looks like the wires for bed lights

 

Yes I have the LED lights in the rear corners of the bed. This just seems like a lot of extra?

Maybe they use the same loom for short bed and long bed? I have a short bed.

are you in the Gulf States region? GST distribution is notorious for short cutting every mod they do. like bed lights. and switches. etc etc.

 

Are the bed lights a dealer added accessory?

Alrighty then, thanks for the quick responses. Guess I might shorten them next time I'm looking for a little project. Actually adding an aux fuse panel under the hood and running power to the bed for my fridge this weekend so I'll be under there with wiring tools anyway.
