    Car:
1959 Chev, the bright trim around the windows marks it as a top of the line Impala versus the mid line Bel Air (below) or the budget Biscayne.
A 1960 has the same side profile but doesn't have the twin air intakes on the hood.

    Truck:
    1957-60 Ford

    images.jpg

    Historical footnote:
In 1961 Ford redesigned the light duty trucks to look sleeker (and be cheaper to build).
The cab and bed were a one piece unit, sort of a uni-body but with a conventional frame underneath.

    1961-Ford-Styleside-Pickup-F-100-600.jpg

    Looks clean doesn't it?
This was one of those "looks good on paper" ideas, in service the loaded trucks had problems with doors popping open, bodywork rippling -- guess they didn't do enough real world testing.

Ford was in a bind, modified the cab stamping and started stamping out the older style bed - even though the style lines didn't match at all.

    1964-Ford-F-100-4x4-rear-600.jpg

The problem was corrected with the 1964 redesign. But it confuses people today.

Yup. My place is 130 years old and it was really rural here back then. There's a place way in the back of the yard that's clearly where the dump was.

    International Harvester S-Line truck built between 1928 - 31.
It could be a one ton Speed 6 model so named for the 2 speed rear coupled with the 3 speed transmission giving 6 forward and 2 reverse gears.
This was an industry first for a factory built commercial truck.

Ratios were 5.25 : 1 in high range and 15.46 : 1 in low -- now that is a crawl ratio.
Powered by a thrifty 173-cu.in. Waukesha L-head four-cylinder the Speed 6 could hit 35 mph in third gear high range - pretty quick for a heavy truck in 1928.

I need to go find some more abandoned cars in the woods this spring so you can work your magic. I know of one that doesn’t have much left to it that may stump you.
