The last 3 ... he has seen harder. The first ... well ... he is good but maybe not THAT good ... o_O

While I have the podium ...

How the HELL do these vehicles get into the middle of BF-nowhere when the trees prevent anything bigger than a bike getting through? :notsure:

The trees weren’t there back when the cars were abandoned. It was old roads or clear cut areas.

Photo #2 -- Here is something different. The red hood is from a 1946 - 47 Mercury truck - built & sold in :canada:.

Lol it was a huge junk pile all down the hill. Probably the old farmer just “cleaned up the yard” one day and just pushed it all over the hill lol.
    Good eye
I thought maybe i made it too easy adding in the merc badge on the hood

that first one looks like an open faced vehicle or was some kind of cab over considering where the steering wheel is in comparison to the fender/wheel well.

I’m more concerned that someone (presumably not the owner) took the time to fold them when they found them

My wife and I bought some land in PA last year, and found this:

    20230908_131153.jpg 20230908_131212.jpg 20230908_131251.jpg 20230908_131305.jpg

The emblems and steering wheel will make nice garage art for the new shop building, but otherwise it's junk. The land was part of a large apple orchard started in the late 1800's so there's lots of other old farm equipment and stuff that we need to remove. There is also a pre-war dodge car next to the creek that runs through the property. We only just found it because in has completely pancaked and was hidden by brush. We are calling it Dodge Creek now :)

We are building the new house now on the site of an abandoned farm house that was built for the original orchard owners daughter in 1910. After relocating, we'll then be adding the shop where an old barn used to be. Once that's done, we're going to retire and start working our way out from the middle to clean up and restore the forest. According to the old timers that are now our neighbors, there hasn't been an apple tree for 50 years. One of them remembers his wife making pies when they first got married, but he's in his 80's now.
