Look at the ground. There is snow and I don’t see any prints in the snow. There is also wood on the snow meaning that the damage was done after the snow had fallen.

They do this in the fall as their antlers stop growing and the velvet sloughs off. The snow came a bit later.

    Again, no expert here..

We found this Arrastra mill in central Nevada with a water reservoir just up the hill. Spanish explorers in the area mined this area for gold and silver, and this is the type of mill they used. I have no idea when this dates to, but its in a very remote canyon that's hard to access.

    From Wikipedia:
An arrastra is a primitive mill for grinding and pulverizing gold or silver ore. Its simplest form is two or more flat-bottomed drag stones placed in a circular pit paved with flat stones, and connected to a center post by a long arm. Wikipedia

This is a "ranch" in the west desert of Utah that holds a burningman type festival each summer.

Not really weird but I think they're cool...a whitetail deer rub and a deer trail. Oh, and a possum.

I think wood peckers. Look at the tree to the left. There is a smaller section of torn up tree high off the ground.

Just noticed this thread. About 12 years ago there was a large brush fire in the hills north of Simi Valley, CA. This area had about 20 feet of brush and had not burned in 50 years or more.
When it did it revealed the remnants of an old trail up the mountains that hadn't been seen or used in years.

At the top were some nice finds.

There were a lot of fossilized seashells so I guess they were digging it up for the calcium.
