Was it late in the day? A lot of times when we're arial spraying the heli company would leave the chopper up on a landing at the end of the day.

Beautiful flake of “fingerprint” chert I found Thursday, thought I’d share.
I’ve seen a lot of stone tool materials but this stuff is so cool to me

Found this beside the creek yesterday so I stuck it in the ground. Closest house upstream is 1/2 a mile away.

Hey guys, hope everyone is having a decent Monday. Here’s a couple cool finds from today . Early Pueblo site. As always, taking nothing but photos, we don’t collect artifacts anymore.

I worked with a couple First Americans from Four Corners area. They do the same also. Quite interesting because I remember as kids in Southern Miss my uncle would run a big disc behind the tractor near a creek by our house and we'd have a half gallon of arrowheads and chips every time it rained. Granted these would've been lost to time under 6-8" of topsoil and not like what you have there.

I find pottery a lot, but I've only found one arrowhead. And YES I kept it.

Found a big white rock. Looked so out of place. Picture doesn't do it justice, it was like a pile of snow in the woods. Very fragile too, shattered easily.

It was huge, way bigger than a salt lick. Also it was located where it was under water until a dam was removed exposing it. That being said, yes, I did lick it and it wasn't salty

I wish I had a picture, and maybe some of you could shed some light. Buddy and I were hunting last year and we were up on a ridge line, maybe 8kft elevation or so... really in the middle of no where.
That's not to say other hunters don't pass through there, but it's nothing special location wise.

We found this huge frickn hold in the ground. In some serious rock. Not soft soil, or even in an area of dirt. Like a solid rockline ridge. Probably 5ft deep or so and maybe 10ft diameter give or take.
I notice something that looked like wood slats, or support. My buddy gets in and starts jumping around and you can hear its somewhat hollow.
I suggested he abandon before I have to pull his ass out of a pit.

Anway, thought it might be someone looking for gold, but I can tell you it wasn't an easy dig. That shit was solid rock and quartz.
