There's quite a few abandoned boats washed up on the Delaware, especially since 2020. I've spent most of my life boating on the river and there's definitely more of them nowadays. Recovery efforts can be very expensive, and if the owner doesn't have the funds, no one is around to pay.

That's a possibility, I've always joked that boats are very easy to steal since many owners keep the keys on board and no solid locks to keep people out.

My dad used to have something similar to that which was for making toast on a camp stove but that doesn't seem consistent with what Kordite Corp manufactured.

    Rocks! :)
A few that I've found on my own
Jasper. The yellow parts are more translucent than the orange parts
    1104221148-01.jpg
More jasper I think. Maybe wood. Lots of cool bands/layers in it
    1104221150b-01.jpg
    Same rock, different angle
    1104221150a-01.jpg
And I'm hoping this is agatized wood. Might just be a waterline agate. Either way it's really cool, pic doesn't do it justice

And this is one of the parking lot finds. Ruby? Garnet? Hard to get pics of but the whole thing is a dark translucent red/pink

Hit it with a UV light, ruby should fluoresce.

Parking lot at a fishing access. That's part of the rock collection that someone dumped out. So no idea where it actually came from

You could also use it to find scorpions at night, if you're into that sort of thing

Scorpions, millipedes, fluorescent plants & minerals & mushrooms & lichens... A shortwave UV light can be had for super cheap and it always makes checking out the woods at night very interesting. You'd be surprised at how much stuff glows neon colors under UV.
