Weird loud rubbing noise when driving

So I noticed something weird while on a roadtrip this past week from CA to UT in my 2013 OR Tacoma. Whenever I was on the open highway, and it was windy, and I was doing above 75mph there was a loud rubbing type sound coming from the right side of the truck. Almost like the tire was rubbing something (but I ruled that out). It was random, but at times almost steady.

As soon as I would crack the passenger seat window some however, even half an inch, the sound disappeared. Then when I rolled it up again the sound would come back.

Any ideas what this would be? Seems like its something with the window but not entirely sure what. It got to the point where I drove with the window cracked down to avoid hearing it all the time. It was annoying.

    Thanks

Is the right-side mirror base peeling away from the door?

Nope, just checked it. Seems on there solid to me.

I have had the truck over 3 months and never noticed this before until this trip. Then again I haven't driven it over 75mph much, with that kind of wind

I've seen my hood buffet at high speed with a strong cross wind.

Could also be air rushing past the windshield seal (though it should sound more list a whistle, like the static noise you occasionally get when you leave a cell phone close to a speaker).

It is called air pressure, happens with most vehicles. If you want to really get the full effect, open only one of the rear windows.
